From billing screens to owning a subsystem
I have been at WPDeveloper since 2021 and on xCloud since January 2024. Three years and 5,188 commits later the scope has changed shape twice - from working inside other people's systems, to owning integrations, to owning a revenue-generating subsystem end to end. Each stage is drawn from what the commit history actually shows.

2024
The commercial layer
Product catalogue, invoicing, usage reports, team accounts and onboarding - the surfaces where a hosting platform actually charges people. Laravel and Vue, working inside systems other engineers had built.
-
2025
Backup and restore, three storage targets
My heaviest year on backup: SFTP, Google Drive and pCloud targets, scheduling, and a production command to upgrade duplicity on servers already holding incremental backups without breaking their restore chains.

2025
Security and provisioning integrations
Patchstack vulnerability scanning taken end to end - scan, retry, reporting and the Nova lenses support uses daily. Alongside it, Docker-based provisioning with one-click apps, and a Supabase integration shipped behind a beta flag.

Jul 2026
Cloudflare Enterprise, built end to end
An R&D document, then migrations, service layer, API client and DTOs, queued jobs, controllers, the Vue frontend and a Pest suite. Hardened after PR review with callback authentication, a paid-bill provisioning gate, teardown on site deletion, activation retry and race handling.

Aug 2026
Metering ahead of enforcement
The 100 GB/month per-domain allowance shipped as metering, alerts and an overage hook, with no enforcement for a month while the numbers were checked against real traffic.

Purchase, lifecycle and enforcement
Bandwidth purchasable from the dashboard, the Enterprise API and the addons list with auto-renew on exhaustion; a lifecycle so a block cannot outlive its domain; read-only bandwidth visibility for support. Then enforcement - closing a re-enable bypass, and leaving paid bandwidth intact when a customer disables their own domain.
